HDFC signs agreement to acquire stake in HDFC Credila Ltd

Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) has announced that on November 13, 2009, the Corporation has agreed to acquire approximately 41% in the fully diluted equity share capital of HDFC Credila Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. from DSP Merrill Lynch Capital Ltd., subject to compliance with applicable regulations.

The HDFC stock closed the day at Rs.2758.45, up by Rs.14.85 or 0.54%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.2781 and low of Rs.2735.

The total traded quantity was 83371 compared to 2 week average of 76854.
